A sensitive claim is defined by ACC as "a claim for physical and/or mental injury suffered as a result of sexual abuse or sexual assault."
Once a claim is accepted with ACC, where there is evidence of a physical and/or mental injury (such as depression or post-traumatic stress disorder), Rehab People can provide support to put together a rehabilitation plan which will enable a client to lead as independent a life as possible. This may include only one of the Rehab People clinicians or as many as required e.g. Occupational Therapist and a Psychologist.
